Our framing crew hard at work building Mendakota Manor a beautiful 6,500+ sq. ft. residential care home.

Here's a view of Mendakota Manor with it's new roof and windows. We've come a long way since breaking ground in August, 2008. Heart to Home plans on opening in early January. This residential care home will feature state-of-the-art green building technologies including geothermal heating and cooling systems.

"A Reason To Hope" | Quilt Raffle

Heart to Home and Timberworks Renovations Inc. will be raffling a homemade quilt. Raffle tickets cost $5 and all proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association. To purchase a raffle ticket please visit us during our Parade of Homes Remodelors Showcase (the quilt will be on display) March 28 (1-7pm), 29 (12-6pm) and 30th (12-6pm) or call (651) 485-8738. Construction continues at Mendota Manor...

Granite counters were installed... The colors in the granite pull together all the colors in the home.

Here's a nice view of the large U-shaped kitchen and knotty pine four season porch.

The main bathroom was completed with tile throughout, a roll-in shower, soaking tub and handicap accessible vanity.

Here's a view of the library complete with fireplace with stone surround, built-in oak bookcases and oak columns. This will be a wonderful room to kick back and relax in.

Here is the gas fireplace with stone surround and oak built-in book shelves on either side. This will be a wonderful study / library for the residents of Mendota Manor.

Last, but not least, here is the main level bathroom. Notice the large tile roll-in shower and large soaking tub. This bathroom also features oak cabinets, tile throughout and in-floor heat.

Welcome to Mendota Manor!

Here is the view of the great room and the in-floor heat coils.

Here is Mendota Manor's library complete with gas fireplace and in-floor heat. The gas fireplace will be completed with a beautiful stone surround. The entire interior will be painted in rich earth tones to help calm and sooth the residents.

Here is one of the resident suites at the front of the home. Notice the in-floor heat!

This is a view of the crown molding located in the resident suites... No detail was overlooked.

Here is the "north woods" four season porch complete with panoramic views of the backyard and knotty pine woodwork. This will be a wonderful room for residents and their families to enjoy.

This is a view of the backside of Mendota Manor. On the far left hand side of the picture is the four season 'north woods' porch and on the right hand side is the 2 car garage.

Here is a view of the four season porch, kitchen area and dining room. Mendota Manor was designed so that people with Memory Loss and Dementia can easily and safely enjoy their home.

Here is the library room with the gas fireplace. The gas fireplace will be surrounded with beautiful stone and hardwood. A wonderful place for residents and their families / friends to relax.

Here is a view of the 'north woods' four season porch. This room has been finished with knotty pine throughout, beautiful views of the backyard and vaulted ceilings. A wonderful place for friends, family and residents to reminisce of weekends in the north woods.

This is a view of the home from the kitchen. This home was designed so that the front door is not easily seen by the residents (to prevent elopement) and so that Mendota Manor's staff can easily see all of the bedrooms from a central location.

Mendota Manor is Coming Right Along!

Heart to Home's Mendota Manor sits perched on it's sprawling 1/2 acre lot. Notice the large front porch / overhang... A wonderful place to relax on a warm summer evening.

Here you can see the Wirsbo in-floor heating system in the lower level. In-floor heat will be installed throughout the home. This should keep the residents' feet nice and warm during the winter months.

Here's a view of one of the private suites, which includes a large private bathroom, in-floor heat and plenty of room for the resident.

Here's a view of Mendota Manor's library. Notice the gas fireplace and columns that will separate the living room and library.

Here's the "north woods" porch! This porch will be a wonderful retreat where residents will be able to sit and enjoy the changing seasons, birds and gardens in the backyard.

Construction continues at Mendota Manor. We now have all exterior walls up and are moving right along!

Timberworks is hard at work. Here you can see how large this one level handicap accessible rambler is going to be... It's huge!

Here's a view of one of the Suites at Mendota Manor. This one is going to have a view of the neighborhood from the front of the home. All suites will have a private bathroom, in-floor heat and tons of space for residents to enjoy!

Here's a view along the Western wall of the home. To the left of this wall is the two car garage and in the upper right hand corner is the 4 season "north woods" porch, which will feature large windows, knotty pine woodwork, access to the backyard deck and extra high ceilings.

Another view of the "north woods" porch. This will be a great retreat for the residents of Mendota Manor. Our goal with the 4 season porch is to allow the residents of Mendota Manor to enjoy the changes of the seasons and the comforts and feeling of the northern woods of Minnesota.

Here's a view of the front door of the home (top center). We will be putting up a wall to block direct views of the front door, which will help prevent resident elopement.

Here's a view of one of the Suites in the back of the home. This suite has great views of the trees and gardens in the back of the home. All suites will have private bathrooms.

This is a view of another one of the suites. This suite will have a full bathroom with a handicap accessible (roll-in) shower and scenic views of the neighborhood.
